The US is producing more domestic crude than I thought. Until a year or so ago I thought we were almost fully dependant on out side supplies. Have you heard how much production is shut in in the Gulf because of the Hurricane? I read on the internet over the weekend it was 350,000 bbl per day. I was told today that figure had move upward to nearly a million. I never dreamed that much Crude Oil was being produced in the Gulf of Mexico!
