Of course, you do understand that I do not mean that everyone should quit their current jobs and start looking for oil right? You understand that I'm not suggesting we all eat nothing but gruel to free up the food distribution and preparation industries for oil research right? The oil industry are the ones equipped to do R&D on oil sources etc. There are some industries which need non-petrolium based energy. These are the industries that are putting every effort into such things as fuel cells, more efficient batteries, exotic gasses, solar power, wind power, wood power etc. the oil industry should not be investingating this also.
