So you're actually suggesting that most folks simply cannot live without a combination espresso/cappuchino/coffee maker? I recently paid just over $2000 for a bath tub... I'll be installing it this winter. It has 18 jets, an integrated water heater (to keep the water hot for long periods of time) and contoured seating for two. I'll be replacing my existing standard tub with it. If gas had been at $1.19/l as it is now, I probobly wouldn't have purchased it. It's a luxury item that I could easily live without... I'm fairly certain that there is nobody in the world who requries one to live. I'll get to the rest of your post in a minute... hold on... A luxury item is defined as an inessential item. Even if there really and truely ARE people who require a remote car starter, it is not then a luxury item for them. It appears that you are saying that if in fact, as I suggested, all electronic garage door openers, remote car starts, and combination espresso/cappuchino/coffee makers in the world ceased to exist that the world would be immediately plunged into chaos and thousands would die. You are, of course, aware that the vast majority of the worlds population doesn't even have a garage? A solid majority doesn't have a car, and a weak majority doesn't have electricity in their kitchen? --- þ Synchronet þ ``Penguins make tasty snacks'' .
