Some wells reach a point where they don't produce enough revenues to provide
for their pumpin/mainence. If crude were to hit hither-to unknown prices (well
not so unknown as it seems) then maybe. But once it's capped (as you have
described it) there is no renewing that well, you will be drilling a new one,
in a rather poor field I would guess.

You sound as if you have experience on drilling riggs. College/summer work?

I worked on the East coast South of Houston for a few years. Drilling tool
renatl place - 'Oil Field Rental' I serviced tools after they came back from
being on a rig. Drill pipe drill collars subs scrappers nuts and bolts.

I have one nut I saved. It's face is three inches on a side.
