I am getting the feeling that your just picking nits here. So let me restate my opinion in hopes that it will clear this up. The world is going to need alternate sources of energy. Sooner or later the pertorelum will run out[1] The sooner that an alternate(s) are found the cheaper the conversion can be. If there is a long over lap of petroelum and this undiscovered alternate, so much the better. I think in this case long is better. I have no quarrels with however you get to work Ford pinto or horse back. But please acknowledge the fact that your options are not everyones options.
