You can't actually suck it into > bore by pumping... it needs to flow there of its own accord. Well this effect does occure differently in different locations so I can see what you are saying. I guess the thread got started on the capped well subject. Most people think this is a GOOD well capable of producing but is *CAPPED* for no reason other than reducing supply to run cost up. It the situation you are describing the term we use is *SHUT IN* which is what they used for the loss of production from the Gulf. The wells weren't CAPPED, They were Shut In untill production could resume. A Shut in well will "Rock up" on pressure and can be produced when turned in line. A *CAPPED* well will never produce as all it's piping has been removed and has been filled FULL of cement. This only occurs here when the well has played out and is done.
