But *you* seem to be saying that so long as they keep supplying you with 
gasolene for your car, you don't care whether they look for better energy 
sources or not.

Nobody is suggesting that you should be deprived of gasolene -- at least 
nobody that *I* am reading.  But the idea that every effort must be 
directed to finding petroleum for you to *burn* (and that so long as you 
are able to burn petroleum no other efforts are necessary) is not 
reasonable.
