Right, which is why I'm not counting the initial buy-in.  Per kilometer
travelled, electricity is more expensive than gasoline (currently).  Ditto for
hybrids (though hybrids are more of a "pretty much the same" rather than worse)

And really, it's too late to be an early adopter of battery or electronic
