Advertising HERE is all but a  waste of time. Almost everyone here is a
sysop.

But advertising is a great idea. Where, is the question.

So ask your self, where did I read the last ad... Advertise there.

Put up those tear-off ads

Write a short letter to the editor asking about Free stuff on the
internet such as YOUR BBS. (-:

Ask the school to endorse your BBS as wholesome entertainment for
students.

Stack a bunch of ads near the computer section at Walmart, Meijer or what
ever passes for a large store near you.

Get your sig file right. I got a visit because of my sig file... (Ya
never know...)

Truth is, you can mention your ad anywhere and get hits. There is no
hard and fast rule for getting visitors. Word of mouth works if you know
someone with a big mouth (-:
