Given my location, it wouldn't surprise me to dscover it's actually more than
10%.  However, it's possible for me to source my needs locally with very little
energy overhead... except grains which is pretty much 50% energy overhead when
it comes off the hop.

Interestingly enough, external combustion engines are quite a bit more
efficient.  Portable ones have reached 25% efficiency, and power plants have
reached an astounding 90% efficiency.
