I hope things are not as dire as they sound. But to continue this part. Just how much will you be willing to pay for your energy? I'm not just talking about for your car. The energy costs are in everything. How about a ten per cent rise in EVERYTHING. Just to cover the costs of energy. How about 10% per year? Do you think eeryone else will be happy with that? (Not your choices but the hike in energy costs) I'm NOT advocating anyone avoid petroeleum over another source of energy. Oil is a good thing. In fact I think steam (coal or wood fired) would generate more polution than oil. And those technologies are a large step backwards (in a global point of view) ....
