Yes but at the same time a Mail processor does NOT convert the message from one 
format to another. It may store the message in a Jam, Squish etc message base 
but look at various FTSC documents and all these are refered to. NNTP IS NOT.

I am aware of trying to bring new users to Fidonet but surely we must also at 
the same time have some form of control. And mustn't a moderators request that 
an echo must not be gated be taken into account. Notice that during all this, I 
_never_ once mentioned the Mandrake or Redhat echos which I had no problem in 
being gated. I was specifically asked not to allow gating for th SUSE and 
Linux-Kernel echos to NNTP.

Umm, not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing as I tend to lurk most of
