The Nodediff, the Nodelist, the Fidonews, and the Policy documents are in no way the responsibility of the Filegate to distribute. They are the sole responsibility of the *C's to distribute, and always have been. The fact that the Filegate moves them is a /convenience/ provided to the *C's and any others who wish to recieve those files from the Filegate. The Filegate is not bound in any way to distribute those files, and can in fact stop distributing them at any time. If any *C is concerned about the Filegate having problems, they can contact the Z1C directly to get a copy of the nodediff. Failing that, they can contact the IC; he should have a copy, since the Z1C must submit one to him. Same goes for any other ZC, since each zone submits it's seg to the other zones. But then again, in a volunteer network, is it really necessary to jump on someone over a three day delay, when that person's computer clearly has crashed? Everyone suffers a system crash from time to time, hardware can fail, software can hiccup, attacks from viruses and worms can occur, and it takes some time to recover. One should not expect perfection 100% of the time, to do so is unreasonable, but then I never did expect reason out of you and your cronies... --- GoldED/386 3.0.1-dam3 * Origin: MikE'S MaDHousE: WelComE To ThE AsYluM!
