I assumed that you were interested in how it worked.  I had no idea you
would use it to do packet ramming.  I wondered to myself if you actually
knew that FNB needed a sucker to upload your NB packets to; as the demo I
gave you and Bennie in FLAME worked, but it was in my own echo on my own
node.


Everyone moving mail should, by now, have a secure link with each other or
FNB can be used to packet ram, there's no doubt.  The days of packet
ramming as I knew it could happen, have long been over.  It hasn't worked
on anyone's system since someone I know did a packet ram, using my name,
to a system who just so happened to have an unsecure link with his hub.
Those uplinks were far and few between in 1998 and are probably even
rarer today.

Had you asked, I could have told you that the latest version of NOBOGUS
was specifically written with FNB in mind.  Brent Hamm and Geno Paris were
the cause of that.
