 Got one item from Herbs_n_such at the start of '97. Not the one
I recall, but maybe this'll help. Since it's from arc'd jambase

    Sure!  It's a cure from an herbal book by Jeanne Rose.  It's her
own recipe for sinus cure.  
    You take one or two cloves of garlic, crush them up well, and submerge
it all under about a cup or so of pure spring, filtered, or bottled
water.  Not tap please as you don't need the chlorine up your nose.
 Let this sit overnight or two nights.  You will see a clear oily scum
on the top of the water.  This is what you want to use.  It's called
the natant fluid.  Skim it off till you have enough for a drop up each
nostril.  I recommend a nose dropper for this.  Or if you can get enough
of the natant fluid together to use a nasal spray bottle.  
    Now you have to really prepare yourself, for she describes the next
part as sticking your head right in the middle of the fireworks rack
on the fourth of July.  You snuff about one drop, or one squeeze if
using the spray bottle, up your nose.  Be sitting, or even lieing down,
for this as it really is painful.  If you feel like you've been through
world war three in just a few minutes time then you did it right.  
    Do this once a day for about three days.  Or until you start to
reek of garlic.  She says that while you are doing this you won't taste
or smell the garlic.  When the cure is done, however, you will reek
of it.  Discontinue the use then.  From then on you should only have
to do this about once a month, or if you feel that the sinus is acting
up again.  She said that she did this, and she hadn't had a sinus problem
since.  And she had been a chronic sufferer before hand.

 Another msg in the thread say to make sure and *not* use garlic oil
as it can damage the sinus', just use the above fluid

 Odds are the one I was thinking of is still in there somewhere but
w/ archives going back as far as '95 & running some 300meg zipped..
