Your message, as I read it shows a clear lack of maturity, the fact that you would suggest it and say it would be funny is more unfathomable. Perhaps someone might come up with some "cute" taglines targetted at you, perhaps you will enjoy it? I'll make this crystal clear to you, no one is bitching about the size of the file, other than the bloat it contains, that is a separate discussion about the existence or format and contents of that list, the issue is its presence in the BACKBONE FDN. Having visited your BBS, I can tell you have poured a great deal of work into it, it really looks nice, you have things classified and organized so that users can find and do whatever it is they want. One would think you wouldnt want a "group" of people to vote to screw up the organization of your file areas, obviously I am wrong here. However if you attempt to pour megs and megs of files upstream through my system the "wrong" way, I'll delete them dead in their tracks, UNISCHED and my batch files work real good together, do it right or dont do it. If you think you are gonna piss off people by legally creating a FDN and it will be bustling with bookoo megs of files, your wrong there as well, those that can accomodate them and have the space will, those that cant wont, why you ask, because they have choice, they have the power to send FIX messages to their uplinks. You obviously have no clue as to what choice means to people, since you proudfully boast of having voted to take it away by forcing those who dont want/need your chart to take it in order to get the BACKBONE files. Release all of the files we normally do.. Then create a master serialized zip with all of the files including the irn then make a new fdn one that is not limited to admin files make one that we can start adding tags. Have the routing committee create there own FDN so we then will hatch the files in multiple areas Keep sending the data to backbone duplicate it in the new Z1B fdn and so forth people could end up with 2 backbone.z1b on there hard drives and 2 irn-route files on the hd it could be pretty funny... Z1B-Admin Z1B-IRN Example Z1B-Apple Z1B-Internet Z1B-Windows I will start shoving 30-40 megs of new files onto the filegate every couple of days and these people will be crying like babies... o OLXWin 1.00b o BBS Networks @ WWW.BBSNETS.COM we get it first! + Origin: BBS Networks @ www.bbsnets.com [8010] 808-839-5016 (1:10/345) =============Cut here==================================== Janis -+- BBBS/LiI v4.01 Flag-3 + Origin: Prism bbs (1:2320/38) SEEN+BY: 1/21 10/3 17/1 12 18/500 106/1 2000 140/0 1 12 2320/38 @PATH: 2320/38 140/1 === Cut === == Ross http://www.the-estar.com:8080 ross@the-estar.com or rcassell@home.com ICQ = 5305939 --- GoldED/W32 3.0.1 * Origin: The Eastern Star [Mail Hub] - 864.573.7069 (1:18/500) .
