No.  One of the stars was replaced when he got so fed up with John's antics 
that being a part of Fidonet wasn't worth the hassle any longer.  I know. I was 
connected to his system before he left.

But none of this matters at all David.  You seem really fearful of my humble 
opinion in this.

The Backbone file echo is indeed a cooperative file echo for INFO files 
available from all distributions in Fidonet. Key word there.. cooperative.. as 
in cooperate. As in work together..

Now that I have your attention (somewhat), are you going to create a new File 
echo ?  What's to lose if you do? I really don't understand your problem with 
this.
