OTH, Souvestre left the system that created it, thus abandoning any claim
to it.  Unless he took it with him. In either case, it doesn't belong to
any one distribution system.

That's fine by me, but you seem to have lost site of why the rift here.
ERN routing files don't seem to have much in common with echomail
distribution nor any interest by anyone downline from the distribution
systems.
