Wrong. This is not a business, nor a government agency, nor anything like that. It ain't even rocket science. This is a hobby, Robert, and I am a volunteer. I did not ask for the job, I did not go out campaigning amongs all the sysops of the zone to get it, I did not beat the bushes for votes, nor brag about how I might be better suited for the job than anyone else. When Steve Byers announced his intention to cease doing administration and hatching of the routelist, *nobody* stepped up to indicate a willingness to do the chore. It is not an elected job. It is an appointed one, and as long as the individual who has the authority to appoint/unappoint me is content with how I perform the job, then I will continue to do it as best I see fit. RC> I have never seen a public explanation *from you* as to what happened. Oh, come on, now. It was obvious that some sort of error occured that resulted in that bad tic. Delineating exactly what or how it happened is far less important than taking steps to avoid a repeat of that error, wouldn't you say? In point of fact, _several_ events occured over several days, none of which in and of themselves were fatal but a combined result of which did result in an unfortunate hatch of what might easily be defined as an illegal tic. Life is like that: shit happens. RC> Neither do I recall a public appology stating your accountability. ....and you're not going to see one now, either... RC> I would hope that such events never transpire again, There are no guarantees in life, Robert, much less in this hobby, but steps have been taken that should hopefully avoid any repeat of that particular unfortunate mistake. Content yourself with that for the moment, if you can. If not, well (as they say in the military) that sounds like a personal problem. RC> ... that you would be first to say something and appologise. I did not realize that it was incumbent upon me to remain chained to my keyboard and monitor, sans sleep or food, every second of every day just to appease the possible irate reaction of some dimwitt who should have had sense enough to recognize "hey, something's amiss, but it's no big deal, I'll go snag the missing [fill in the blank] myself". There are many things in life that I consider far more important than anything in this hobby, especially as no one is paying me a dime for any of my efforts, nor ever has.
