This is the Z1_ROUTING echo. Revised Rules: Oct 25th, 2001, 10:0 pm.

This echo facilitates transporting of routing information to the Zone 
Echomail Coordinator so that it may be imported into the Zone 1 Route 
List (ROUTELST.XXX), released weekly as a text file in the Z1_REC file 
echo.
 
Routing information may be posted or submitted in netmail by any 
node. Data may also be submitted to the listkeeper via the regional 
routelists hatched into the Z1_REC file echo by Regional Echomail 
Coordinators. 
 
The Z1_REC file echo is a widely available file area that may be 
picked up from your normal file feed and/or most zone level hubs. 
Netmail 1:2320/38 for alternate arrangements if your feed does
not have it available. 
 
Traffic allowed in this echo:
   1= Route link information as specified above
   2= Corrections to the route list
   3= Discussion of 1 and 2 above as it pertains to helping to keep 
     the route list accurate and useful.
 
Traffic not allowed in this echo:
   1= To keep confusion down to a minimum here, other routelists  
      will not be discussed here, although REC submitted regional 
      routing charts may be discussed as regards how they are 
      incorporated into the main routing chart.
   2= Routing issues unassociated with the zone 1 routelist should 
      not be discussed here.
   3= Flaming or attacks against any person is not allowed. Snipes and
      baiting are also not acceptable. 
   4= Anything relating to Policy matters or P4.07.
   5= Excessive off-topic chatter. A minimum of chatter between 
      folks is ok here, but please do not flood the echo with so much 
      that it becomes difficult for the ZEC to easily note and verify 
      routing information.  If you do start a thread or participate in 
      one which is not in the "allowed" list above, please immediately 
      honor moderator requests to drop the thread and take it elsewhere.
 
Leave your politics at door: we all want routing information to be 
accurate so that ERN in Fidonet will be as good as it can be, given 
the volunteer nature of this hobbist network.
 
If you feel that the route list is not reflecting information that 
your situation requires, please post a message to the ZEC explaining 
the problem in detail so that the ZEC will be able to help you.
 
The moderators expect all participants to act at all times as 
reasonable, polite, and civilized adults. This includes keeping to 
the subject here. If you cannot abide by the rules of the echo, you 
will be given warnings before being asked to leave. You will then 
need to submitt your routing data via netmail or standard REC 
proceedures. 
 
As from the posting of these rules, this message is EVERYONE's 
"first warning" to keep to the topic of the echo.
