remember, one doesn't need to carry or pass mail to be a node in fidonet... i 
had several listed, at one time, that didn't do any net or echomail at all... 
they wanted node numbers only for the gaming networks they were in... many 
gaming networks don't issue node numbers and deal with all the other FTN 
network administrivia... once they demonstrated to me that they met the 
criteria of fidonet to carry a fidonet node number, i issued them one even 
though i didn't personally agree with the situation...

geez, does that make me a nodelist clerk?
