I think that you are being counter-productive to your own goals. The inquiry was made by a person in Florida, Region 18 The inquiry was answered by the Zone Coordinator, directing him to the Region 18 Coordinator. The Region 18 Coordinator is aware that there is a person in Vero Beach FL, who wishes a node number. And yet you, a sysop in Region 12, Ontario Canada, rather than let the matter rest at that, insist that you can serve the applicant better and faster to the extent that you take issue with the coordinators (because it's not the way you do business) and possibly confuse the applicant, and when it's suggested that the Coordinator for his region handle the matter you argue and further obfuscate the proceedings. If I were a sysop wanting a node number and found that my question generated the beginnings of a flame-fest, I would rethink my position and ask myself if I really wanted to join up with these people. Now, I'm not going to suggest that you shut up and let the matter take its natural course because I know you won't. I'm also not going to require that you construct a response to this message for me to read because you know I won't. What I *am* going to do is ask Mr Brisbois to please bear with us all and ignore this little exchange, and while net 229 is certainly an option if he so desires, there are three excellent nets in Florida who will be as happy to serve him as you would be and any number of hubs, The Region Coordinator and myself included who can and will feed him echo-and-netmail. Now then, Stewart, may we have a moment of relative silence while the gentleman makes his choice? --- McGuffey's Reader GoldED UNREG * Origin: (1:3613/1275) .
