I ran headlong into that as well. :-)  Power failure, system came back
up after the power came back and started things back to "normal"...
except for one little flag that told Irex that it was busy. I thought
I had all the flags that all the programs use set to delete when the
batch file that starts everything loads... Wrong! The next day I
noticed that the "alt" newsgroups that I pulled had no mail in them...
quick test run of Irex told me that there was a problem and a change
in the batch file fixed it.

Strange things happen. :)

As is said... we are all human... to believe that we will get
everything perfect is not reality.
