The compressor in my JY>shop was new in about 1957 and has had one set of piston rings installed in the JY>time from then til now. It's always on, folks come here to punp up their tires JY>and I take that as an advantage to let them know that I'm here, in business and JY>ready to serve them. This was one of the reasons for the "Free Air" of years JY>gone by, the filling station operator used it as an opportunity to meet new JY>people, make new customers. My Grandfather, Father & I all own a air compressor and hope mine last the 40 or so years that my grandfathers has.. The neighbors love me. Kinda funny how popular you can get when they figure out you have a lathe and welder. Never charge them for small welding jobs or minor lathe work figure it will come back to me 10 fold someday..
