ABAICT, we're probably 1-2 feet above sea level. Was hard to discern that yesterday. ;-) One of the strangest experiences here is driving on FL's Turnpike late at night, heading to Exit 1 (we're exit 2). Even during rush hour, not many cars in this direction. At night, it's dead so there are few overhead lights and it's *very* dark. Ocean is not even 2 miles to the East with the few Bays less than that. It's so flat and so close to sea level, it literally feels like you are driving off the face of the earth. Veer the wrong way and a canal is the likely drop point. ;-) -> We're at 245-450 feet, depending on where you stand in the area and -> the 'phone lines were buried through most of the county about 8 years -> ago but are overhead in the city including the main feeders to and -> from the central office. All the power lines are overhead. Power -> company estimates that it costs $65K/mile to run a new power line so -> I don't expect this to change. All of our power lines are overhead. We've had Bell South out here I don't know how many times in their attempts to bury phones lines. Last I watched, they placed them about 3 inches below ground. ;-) -> --- McGuffey's Reader GoldED UNREG -> * Origin: (1:3613/1275.1) --- Platinum Xpress/Win/Wildcat5! v3.0pr3 * Origin: Platinum Xpress Support 305-248-7815 (1:135/382) .
