I wasnt testing by echo, I was testing whole packets as they came in.

I cant recall specific echoes, although one of the OS2* echoes seems to stick 
in my mind, but there were more. Whenever I see an issue such as that, I 
usually notify both nodes on either side of the pathing issue, I did notify 
both you and Dale, I didnt hear back from you but I did from Dale and frankly 
Dale was quite indignant about it.
