Really? From my looking at the backbone.ww, it appears that many of
the echos carried by the z1b and na are there. I don't see how it can
be factored out.

Ok.  Problem is that some Nets may not connect to all backbones for
one reason or the other. For Nodes that rely on their Net for a feed
and don't have access to Internet technology to connect to other
backbones, that could be a problem.

This might not be such a factor today, but it could be.   In the past,
it was a big factor in that many Nodes relied on their Net to feed
them and what was available in the way of echos was the direct result
of
