A distribution system which claims as members hubs who feed predominantly
from another distribution system's hubs and who deliberately cut off well
over half of it's membership before embarking on so-called democratic
discussion is presenting inflated claims and false data to it's customers.
Maybe, if your distro system ceased trying to claim tier2 hubs whose primary
uplinks (for echomail, files, and netmail) are NAB zone hubs, then some
people might have a little more respect for your little splinter group.

But then again, maybe not...
