CS> Net270 is comming back to life with a new NC and they are using them CS> too. Should see a few more soon. They havent established a common CS> link between them yet so using RVIA data to track those we know about. That sounds a lot like a couple of our +1-519- nets; it's almost quicker to list who *doesn't* have independent feed than to list all of the RVIA tags. Much, but not all, of this is due to the growing number of IP nodes. When everyone was POTS, an independent feed was costly and it was relatively easy to find one system to serve as a central drop-off point for the entire net. That seems to be changing now. Wander into the home net of the TransX fido-via-internet software, for instance, and there's a pretty good chance of finding almost as many independent feeds as live nodes. --- Msged/LNX TE 06 * Origin: Pause-Caf‚ Kingston 613-549-5599 telnet:cafe.dyndns.org (1:249/116) .
