I'd be curious to know how many nets are still having sysop gatherings.

I'd expect that a Region 93 sysop gathering would be a very small affair 
indeed!

Maybe net 229 would have more sysops still up and running than region fourteen, 
but how would you ever get them all together at the same place and time?

The concept made sense when there were large numbers of people in one very 
small geographical area. I don't remember when our local net last met, but I'd 
suspect that it was a few years ago. Too bad, really, but the days of a 
two-page dot-matrix printed local BBS list are long gone.
