Net 229 is, at the moment, an exclusively ION network. Care to try again?

Are you aware of the timeframes Dave Hamilton was involved in such efforts as 
NET_DEV et al.?

Further, several nodes in Net 229 were ION long before I ever heard of this 
"exclusively ION section" in the nodelist. In fact, I recall being baffled, 
since being an ION node and a member of an existing network was just a matter 
of course for me.
