Apologies in advance, Janis, but this is the only echo I could think of where I
know all the ladies still around from the former FEMALE_SYSOP echo are in
attendance as well as several others who would want to know.

Received an email from Barbara O'Keefe today with the sad news that former Net
135 node Jean Prophet has passed away.  Jean was diagnosed with a form of
blood/bone cancer last year and the prognosis was grim from the getgo.  For the
last few months, after a touch and go Christmas, there was a bit of a reprieve
and Barb and her husband were able to send Jean and her husband Buddy on a 1
week cruise to the Caribbean which they thoroughly enjoyed.

Jean passed away peacefully.  She was either 58 or 59 years old and was a
longstanding Fidonet member for over 10 years.  Her primary interests in the
network were Cooking, Horses and Unusual Pets.    Jean was a genuninely nice
and caring person who went the extra yard for others and you couldn't help but
like her.  She'll be missed by all who had the opportunity to know her.

May she rest in peace!
