Again, the list keeper will list what is provided by the individual regions. If it's wrong, blame the Regional contact. CAB> Of these, 1:288 feeds from Canada, 1:290 is Gary Petersen (out of CAB> service, with one downlink still online and possibly orphan) and CAB> 1:2810 is a dead net in which the NC listing answers voice as a wrong CAB> number and nothing works. Take the information to the Z1C. I've already verified the status of Net 290. Gary is not there, Robert is and reported the info. CAB> Some of these NC's have the "Down" flag on their own local nodes in CAB> the nodelist. Toast! Why is routing in Region 14 your problem? AS>> If that gets you nowhere, send the info to the Z1C. CAB>> What good would that do? She's still listing Ray Brown as a live node! AS>> Has anyone in Region 14 updated their route list? CAB> How would that fix the ZIN listings? They come from the ZC not Michael CAB> McCabe. You said Ray was listed as a live node. I took that to mean with a node number other than the ZIN. Fact is, only his ZIN listing remains but, if he were here, routing to that node number would still go through Michael, no? Z1C at the time was David and he obviously missed the ZIN listing. Janis can take care of that. AS>> If RC14 is not updating the segment, and this has been going on for a AS>> good year, there are two solutions; replace RC14 or the Z1C should AS>> receive the information as provided and manually edit that segment. CAB> If Michael does pop his antlers up long enough for me to raise this CAB> issue, I will certainly ask that he demand Foxy remove these "default CAB> routes" to nets which no longer exist and replace 1999-era routing CAB> data with something newer. He doesn't need to DEMAND anything. He gave his approval for the information contained in the Routelist. CAB> Of all the region fourteen nodes still online, I strongly doubt that CAB> more than 20% are reachable by using the routing information provided CAB> by Foxy's list. And I'll ask again.....are you looking to swipe any remaining nodes for Net 229? What other interest could you possibly have in Region 14? Who are you trying to route mail to and are you doing so for any purpose other than to determine if a node is alive or dead? The routelist is a GUIDELINE. It's not bible and verse, etched into stone. Echo routed netmail is a delayed method of mail transport. There is no guarantee that a routed message will be delivered and there's no guarantee that the contents will remain private between sender and intended recipient. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/Wildcat5! v3.0pr3 * Origin: Platinum Xpress Support 305-248-7815 (1:135/382) .
