Subj : ERRORS in Route List! To : Foxy Ferguson From : Carl Austin Bennett Date : Wed May 09 2001 08:39 am CAB> If Michael does pop his antlers up long enough for me to raise this CAB> issue, I will certainly ask that he demand Foxy remove these "default CAB> routes" to nets which no longer exist and replace 1999-era routing data CAB> with something newer. FF> The "default routes" for region 14 nets went into the offishal routelist FF> with the full approval (nay, urging!) of Mike McCabe. Was he aware that you intended to delete the 'priority' tags and any other info that might tell us whether we're looking at an active route, a default route to a live system that hasn't established a feed or just a completely dead net? Those were being flagged as priority 1, 99, 0 respectively; you removed this. Did he intend that they be used merely as a stop-gap measure until the nets in question could re-link elsewhere, or did he intend that they be used as you have been using them: a tool to conceal the fact that you have either wrong routing information or no info for everyone in R14 but Jeff Smith and Michael? I think it's time that Michael step up and intervene to resolve these issues. --- Msged/LNX TE 06 * Origin: Pause-Caf‚ Kingston 613-549-5599 telnet:cafe.dyndns.org (1:249/116) .
