Okay, before you gave up, how much netmail were you sending to Region 14 and was this for conversational purposes or simply to find out who is alive and who's not? If the latter, pick up the phone and call voice. AS>> Okay, but you aren't sending ERN to these people. CAB> I've got an account on Greg's system. RC14 should have notified the Z1C at the time he removed Ray that the help node needed to come out of the nodelist. If Janis is reading, 1:1/117 should be removed. On the subject of the help nodes, would seem to mean the listings for Dutchie, GSBBS and DCI are all suspect as well. Probably can't find anyone in the Zone using the software, to there is no justification for the "help" node regardless of whether the node is still listed otherwise in Fidonet. Only listing Marianne Cowley seems to have is that help node......Ross, is she still in Fidonet? AS>> ALL of his departure in various places. Are you trying to route mail to Gary or Robert? That Net has ALWAYS been a problem since back in the days when Dan Buda was the NC. Nodes were gone for years before they were removed. Gary P. cleaned things up as much as possible, which is why only 2 nodes remain listed. He couldn't remove himself. ;-) At any rate, I've forwarded this information on to Foxy and the default route for Robert will likely be RC14. AS>> Net 290 doesn't exist. If RC14 is not updating the segment, and this has been going on for a good year, there are two solutions; replace RC14 or the Z1C should receive the information as provided and manually edit that segment. Wasn't here during that conversation. And the inevitable question on Net 229....You care to explain why the growth of this Net is based solely on out-of-area internet listings? Since every Region in Zone 1 has the ability to list internet only nodes, not to mention the existence of the IP only section of the Zone 1 nodelist, why are you, as RC12, encouraging nodes from every other Region, with active RCs and NCs, to list with this Net? --- Platinum Xpress/Win/Wildcat5! v3.0pr3 * Origin: Platinum Xpress Support 305-248-7815 (1:135/382) .
