Yes, but Vancouver Island, unless it has changed a great deal since I lived there, has many, many ferries to other islands, from one place on the island to another, and to the mainland, and even down to Washington State. So the Island Highway may represent the NAB feed, but you have helicopters, and ferries, and airplanes. BTW some day, I'll have to bend your ear on the subject of the Dorman Pulp Mill, Cassidy Helicopters, the wife swapping ring, and the local Maoist sect, the Parksville RCMP station and the water pipes feeding the Mac & Blo Mill at Cedar.
