I got a delightful suprise this morning when I did some seenby-checks in the R13 echo and found Dale is well linked and passing to it the other big Z1B movers just fine. I was a little worried as it was a new link in R13 and I dont think any drew from him before. I also got one suprise that I hope isnt a problem. One of the 229 sites used to feed a node in NY here and was in the seenbys but I didnt see them today. Did we lose a node in R13? I sure hope not! I'll try to backtrack my records to remind myself who the node was but it was an authorized perfectly normal link. Sorry, the link may have been gone for some time and perhaps I just noticed? On the other hand, if Dale was confused and cut the link, it's understandable due to the recent flap. Dale wouldnt know. Grin, now once I try to backtrack, I bet I'll find it was another R12 net and look very silly indeed. But it IS a valid link! Now if I can just nudge my brain to remeber who the 2 were... Oh, I can netmail NC229! If I recall te net right, they might know. Reminder to the rest of you in the gallery. R13's admin echos are NOT like any other region's echo in treatment. While Thom may change this with the agreement of the R13 sysops, the sysops were quite clear. They'd rather have the echo widely available from every major mail mover for their feed needs, and accept that it shows in seenbys by many not in region, and even deliberately *request* that any major mail mover feeding an R13 site have it set so they can post a 'channel check' now and again if the idea doesnt make them uncomfortable. We *know* it's read by those outside our region and *dont care*. We are more concerned wit broken links to our membership, than who else might get a giggle reading it silently. Smile, I think we give the Z1B fits ;-) xxcarol --- Telegard v3.09.g2-sp4 * Origin: SHENK'S EXPRESS Norfolk VA 757-486-3057 28.8 Dual (1:275/100) .
