A single echo would be my preference.

Why? I've found the NAB a great deal easier to live with than the Z1B.  While 
that may have been because I was more familiar with NAB operations, I had to 
send four netmails before I got my defunct echo off the Z1B backbone.

I'm not the first who has raised the concern and I doubt that I will be the 
last.:-(
