I do. As long as there are people who want to post messages there, and
people who want the echos on their systems, we should provide them.

Why the big push to remove echos? I never understood that. In this day and
age, it certainly doesn't take up too much disk space to keep them in. 

Why should other than the moderators decide what the criteria for removing an
echo is? If an echo truly is dead, the moderator will request it's removal.
Failing that, eventually every system carrying it will eventually one by one
de-link it, until it's clear to the top levels that it's no longer viable.

Let nature take it's course, and stop trying to shove your personal biases
on everyone else about when the axe should fall on an echo; even ignoring the
fact that some people still want to post in that echo.
