Personally, I feel that an echo that's for some software and which might get very low traffic should be left be. Just because there's nothing going on for a month or more doesn't mean that echo is really dead. Someone might pop in, ask a help question, you'll get some answers, the person asking is happy, and it all goes quiet again. No problem, and the echo has served a purpose, and someone got helped. However, some echoes that are not like this, and don't get any traffic, should probably be retired. My feeling is that a low/no traffic echo doesn't take up enough space or system resources to bother me. As far as "health", I don't know. Ever look at the newsgroup listing? There's literally hundreds of groups that are completely dead there. The number of dead groups keeps growing too. No one seems to prune those out, and the internet (and newsgroup use) doesn't seem to be suffering for it. Just a thought. :-) --gary --- Maximus 3.01 * Origin: bloom county * dearborn,mi * 313-582-0888 (1:2410/400) .
