BH> Magic Mushrooms and a psychedelic mini-van? :-) Never got into that sort of stuff, Bennie... It is a scientific project begun in April '66 that was put on hold in April '77 because of legal liabilities vis-a-vis one of the land owners (whose land we had traverse to get to the target area) and his understandable refusal to allow access to anyone across his property. The project is still on hold, of course, but I'm in process of handing over all the raw scientific data that I as head of the project have in my possession to an enthusastic, energetic, and reliable person of a younger generation in the hope that the legal situation with that land owner (or his heirs) might improve in the future. Only about 2% of the area under study is actually located on his land (and none of the as-yet-untouched but clearly connected area), but his property is/was primary access to the entire study area. Fortunately, there now is an alternate access (albeit not /nearly/ as convienent) via property now controled by a conservation group attempting to preserve as much as possible of the wilderness portions of that particular mountain and it's unique features, and prevent a destruction of the natural habitat of the endangered species found therein. Since that conversation group was started and is wholly controled by individuals who are deeply concerned with the possibility of resuming the study, and since I'm no longer able or inclined to pursue it myself, turning over the data to a younger, scientifically trained person seemed the logical thing to do. There are a lot of critical "notes" that exist only in my head, as well as the written data and sketches in the journals that cover that and other unrelated projects that were also underway during that particular time frame. Since Brent doesn't need those, I'm having to extract and transcribe all the data/notes/sketches for him. Time comsuming. Oh, well... --- Platinum Xpress/Wildcat! v1.4c * Origin: Pogo's (1:361/1) .
