A trademark gives the owner an exclusive right to use the mark "on or in 
connection with the goods or services set forth in the registration". It does 
not give the owner rights over goods or services or echo names not included in 
the registration.

So there can be Apple Computers and Apple Records and an APPLE echo, all 
happily co-existing. I could set up a business called USIIA selling pet 
tortoises and create a pet tortoise echo called USIIA without infringing on any 
other USIIA trademark (unless they too, sold pet tortoises).
