Subj : Distribution systems To : Darrell Salter From : Gord Hannah Date : Fri May 11 2001 01:07 am Following up a message from Steven Horn to Darrell Salter About Distribution systems: DS> sysops have to continually fight off the control-freaks to enjoy SH> In what part of the world, Darrell? I've been a sysop and NC in SH> Region 17 for a decade and I've never had to fight off control SH> freaks or anyone else. I will concur with Steven, as a former NC, NEC, and now RI in Region 17, I have never ran into a control freak, the opposite actually, former RC 17 Dallas Hinton was very accommodating indeed. When I needed advice it was forth coming and presented in a non judgemental way, with plenty of options provided. I have no idea what part of Zone 1 you are referring to, my guess is that personality conflicts play a very big part in this scenario, or is it a sensitivity problem? I usually do a gut wrenching search to see what is annoying me, or does not quite set right, if it boils down to my ego being damaged then I need to ask is the solution I propose for the betterment of me or the community as a whole. I also try and think of ways to become part of the solution not part of the problem, is that not the best way to be? May I suggest that you do the same. Hope this helps. Keep us posted. We are a fine board trying to make it better. http://www.pris.bc.ca/ghannah ghannah@pris.bc.ca Cheers!
