I'm using AI>> v1.99.00 DOS, but when I goto the webpage I only see v1.98SW and some AI>> registered only versions. So I wonder where this version I have came AI>> from?? Is it legit? LP>> Maybe yes. I've heard, the developer of Xenia made freeware his program, LP>> but I've never seen a freeware version of it. I'm not an authority on Xenia, but Arjen -had- intended to release the program as OpenSource at some point, but the last I knew, he was in Australia, getting married, away from the source, and probably away from Fidonet. I really don't know about any versions of the software aside from the ones on his web page. AI>> I've also noticed that Xenedit has some Y2k problems. Squish AI>> won't pack messages posted by Xenedit saying the date is grunged. Was AI>> Xenedit ever updated? LP>> I feel never. :( AI> To bad.. it looked very interesting.. You might take a look at the following: Y2KTOOL6.ZIP Fido Year 2000 Tools Rel. 6 by Tobias Ernst =========================================== PKTDATE 1.5 is a program that can analyse PKT files for structural errors that result from year 2000 related bugs in the creating software and automatically fix such broken PKT files. It is intended for use at hub level in the Fidonet distribution structure in order to alleviate the effects of the year 2000 problem on the smooth operation of Fidonet. Also included are a general information text on the year 2000 problem in Fidonet, and tools for analysing MSG, JAM and Squish message base files. Includes OS/2, Win32, DOS, Linux and Amiga binaries and source. Unzip with -d option! While this is primarily aimed at packets, and if I read you right, you're not even getting to that point because Squish doesn't like the messages you're exporting, there may be some utilities or pointers in this package that help you. --- * Origin: Where'd you get the gun, John?
