As some of you may know, we have problems here in Zone 1 with people who like 
to collect echos, for various reasons.  As you may also know, I've been keeping 
the echo updated for Arjen for some time now, although he's been the sole 
moderator.

Well, things have changed regarding the Zone 1 echolist, and it is no longer 
possible for a third party to do the updating without a previous arrangement.  
The odds of my getting in touch with Arjen are probably small, but I've dropped 
him a note via e-mail to see if he's still alive out there.

However, it seems that there's a small loophole:  I've just noticed that 
Arjen's no longer IN Fidonet (sigh), and I've been notified that I should do 
something about the echolist entry.  I've done so:  I'm now the moderator of 
the echo ("thrillsville"), and Arjen is the co-moderator, with his e-mail 
address listed as the point of contact.

Frankly, we're probably on our last legs here, and the echo should probably be 
left to die a natural death -- I'll kill it if we all think the time has come 
-- but I think we had all been hoping Arjen would show up again.  At the same 
time, I wanted to be up front with everybody as to what's happening.  
Personally, I think it's much ado about nothing.
