Subj : Com/IP To : Steve Quarrella From : Craig Healy Date : Sun Dec 31 2000 11:45 pm -> Been awhile since I've seen any chat here. Who all is running a BBS -> Com/IP's virtual com ports? What software are you using? What pitfa -> you encountered? I'm evaluating both T.A.G. and EleBBS for possible -> BBS software on the Internet only. Not there yet, but I'm going to be building a new telnet box for the BBS. I'll run a Pentium 200 with 64 or 128mb RAM and Win2000 Pro. I've downloaded CI226.EXE as NetModem won't run on Win2000. COM/IP looks like it'll support up to 255 virtual ports. Unfortunately, many programs I have will only go to COM4 or COM8. With a 10-node Wildcat 4.20 BBS, that shouldn't be much of a problem. -c- --- ViaMAIL!/WC v1.60d * Origin: Chowdanet! (401-331-5587) telnet://chowdanet.com (1:323/120) .
