Yes, luck of the draw indeed. The jackpot is split among the winners?
In an early similation the winner came out at about 20,000 tickets
picked. The odds of that in 6/49 are about 1 in 13,000,000 BUT it can
happen on the very first ticket or never! The longer it takes to come
out the more buyers are attracted by the jackpot and the government
just rakes it in then.

But the Power Ball seemed just awesome to me when it got into the
100,000,000 range like it did not that long ago. The highest pot
around here was around 30,000,000 IIRC.
