It only 'matters' if you care enough to vote. ;-) 

I have mentioned this before - there is an addon for FireFox
called 'adblock' that can selectively filter out advertisements
and popups for you. There is also a Windows version of LINKS2
that is a text browser but has the ability to grab graphics if
you request them. The links _do_ work in LINKS and LINKS2 and
it is mouseable. So ... use either solution and click away to
your hearts content and be well-informed in the process. :-) 

btw: OPERA has a button at the bottom of the browser screen that
turns graphics on/off.
