256K transfers are reasonable under USB-1.2. But as that size goes up it
may be a problem for the very impatient. I find it interesting that the
differences between the Generations. I myself find USB-1 not al lthat
bad becasue I rembember the time it took to write a ful floppy and for
the larger stuff how long it took foe a serial cable transfer.

On the operation of CD-RW drives on USB-1 if one burns more then an
occasional disk it is quite tiresome.
