I was under the impression that the lost time had something to do with an
update to the filemanager or winmanager.  I'll have to open up the archive
of my previous Wfw311 installation and do a file-by-file comparison and see
what I can find.

The other alternative that I was thinking of was to FTP into the Micro$not
Windows 3.x site and peruse their 00_index file...
